Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using GulfCoastBoatMarket.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. These terms apply to all visitors, buyers, sellers, and anyone else who accesses or uses GulfCoastBoatMarket.com.

Who We Are

GulfCoastBoatMarket.com is a hyper-local boat marketplace serving the Gulf Coast region of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. We connect private sellers and buyers of new and used boats within driving distance of each other. We are based in Pascagoula, Mississippi and can be reached at hello@gulfcoastboatmarket.com.

Eligibility

To use GulfCoastBoatMarket.com you must:

Be at least 18 years of age. Be a legal resident of the United States. Have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement. Not be prohibited from using our services under any applicable law.

By creating an account you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above requirements.

Accounts

To post a listing or contact a seller on GulfCoastBoatMarket.com, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account. Keeping your password secure and confidential. All activity that occurs under your account. Notifying us immediately at hello@gulfcoastboatmarket.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, provides false information, or engages in behavior that harms our platform or community.

Gulf Coast Only Policy

GulfCoastBoatMarket.com is exclusively for boats located in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. By posting a listing, you confirm that:

The boat is physically located in one of these four states. You are a resident of, or operating within, the Gulf Coast region. The location information provided in your listing is accurate.

Listings from outside the Gulf Coast region will be rejected or removed without notice. Attempting to post listings from outside our service area may result in account suspension.

Listing Rules

By posting a listing on GulfCoastBoatMarket.com, you agree to the following:

Accuracy: All information in your listing must be accurate and truthful. This includes the year, make, model, condition, engine hours, price, location, and any features or options listed. Misrepresenting your boat in any way is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate removal of your listing and suspension of your account.

Photos: All photos must be actual photos of the boat being listed. Stock photos, photos of similar boats, or photos taken from other listings are strictly prohibited. A minimum of 5 photos is required for every listing.

Pricing: All listings must include a real asking price. Listings priced at $1 or any artificially low/high price designed to generate views rather than reflect actual value are prohibited and will be rejected.

Damage Disclosure: Sellers are required to disclose any known damage, repairs, or mechanical issues before their listing goes live. This is not just a platform rule — it is the right thing to do. Buyers are making real decisions based on the information you provide. Hidden damage discovered after a sale damages trust, creates disputes, and reflects poorly on our entire community. If you are unsure whether something needs to be disclosed, disclose it anyway. A small scratch, a repaired crack, an engine that runs a little rough — buyers would rather know upfront than find out at the dock. Honest sellers close deals faster because buyers trust what they see. Listings with undisclosed damage that are reported by buyers will be removed immediately, and the seller's account will be reviewed for termination.

Engine Hours: Sellers are strongly encouraged to disclose engine hours to the best of their knowledge. While not required, engine hours are one of the first things a serious buyer looks for, and listings that include them sell significantly faster. If exact hours are unknown, please provide your best estimate and note that it is approximate.

One Listing Per Boat: Each boat may only be listed once on GulfCoastBoatMarket.com. Duplicate listings will be removed.

No Spam: Posting the same or similar listing multiple times, using automated tools to post listings, or any other form of spam is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on GulfCoastBoatMarket.com:

Fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive listings. Listings for boats that are not owned by or authorized for sale by the seller. Stolen boats or boats with altered hull identification numbers (HIN). Content that is offensive, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory. Listings that violate any applicable federal, state, or local laws. Solicitation of personal financial information from other users. Links to external websites for the purpose of redirecting buyers away from our platform. Any content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

Transactions Between Buyers and Sellers

GulfCoastBoatMarket.com is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users. All transactions are conducted directly between the buyer and seller. We strongly encourage all buyers and sellers to:

Meet in a safe public location or at a marina for inspections. Get a professional hull survey before completing any purchase. Verify the seller's ownership of the boat through the title. Check the hull identification number against the title. Never wire money or send payment before seeing the boat in person. Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, walk away.

GulfCoastBoatMarket.com is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing. We are not responsible for the ability of sellers to sell or buyers to buy. We are not responsible for any disputes, damages, or losses arising from transactions between users.

Fees

Listing a boat on GulfCoastBoatMarket.com is free. We offer optional paid services, including featured listing upgrades (coming soon). Fees for paid services are clearly disclosed before purchase. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to introduce new fees or modify existing fees at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any fee changes.

Intellectual Property

All content on GulfCoastBoatMarket.com, including our logo, branding, design, text, and features, is the property of GulfCoastBoatMarket.com and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. By posting a listing on GulfCoastBoatMarket.com, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your listing content, including photos, for the purpose of operating and promoting our platform. You retain ownership of all content you post. We will not sell your listing content to third parties.

Disclaimer of Warranties

GulfCoastBoatMarket.com is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of our platform. We do not warrant that our platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GulfCoastBoatMarket.com and its owners, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our platform or any transaction conducted through our platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of GulfCoastBoatMarket.com shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GulfCoastBoatMarket.com and its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of our platform, your listings, your transactions, or your violation of these terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to GulfCoastBoatMarket.com at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these terms. Upon termination, your listings will be removed, and your account will be deactivated. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@gulfcoastboatmarket.com.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of GulfCoastBoatMarket.com shall be resolved in the courts of Jackson County, Mississippi.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time as our platform grows and evolves. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of GulfCoastBoatMarket.com after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
